I have a lot of pain issues. I asked the same question of my docs when I began feeling bad all the time (before LC). The best advice I got was that if you stop moving it is very hard to get going again.

That said, I find that exercise helps me. The best exercise I get is swimming in a warm pool. Just standing in the pool will relieve most of the pain (at least for a little while). If I can't get to the pool, I walk. I also find that exercise helps with depression.

The other thing that helps with my pain is myofascial release. It is like a deep tissue massage, which would probably help, too.

Entocort has been wonderful on that front. It helps with both pain and fatigue.

I have been gluten free for only 90 days or so and have been on the Entocort the whole time. I can't tell yet if being gluten free will help with the pain.

Good luck and I hope you feel better!

Definitely. When my symptoms first started, I kept thinking that I was having relapses of the flu. When the D started and wouldn't stop, though, I realized that something else must be wrong.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I too have body aches, and I'm in my 5th week on 9mg of Entocort. How long will it take to feel any relief from the aches? Weeks, months? I appreciate all of your expertise and insights! :pulsinghearts:

I had dealt with various body pains for about 10 years that until last April, I did not realize that they were caused by gluten and soy. It was not until the diagnosis of MC last April and the changes in diet that I realized what was causing the pain. It was great that by going GF/SF and more or less DF that I was able to find some relief.

In my post of May I noted that tomatoes give me bad aches and pains. I have been inserting it back into my diet in small amounts and have found that I no longer get the aches and pains. In fact, they have mostly gone away. Go figure.
