Uffda!

Post by JJ »

OK...I hope most of the paint smell is gone, Pegster!

Last night I decided to paint the hallway....I finished most of it around 8PM...I put the paint can inside the door to my office/studio room. Well, around 10:30, I went in there to put something away and kicked over the paint can!!!!!! ((*^&^$$#%S***)) I was in a panic since I dumped about a half gallon of beige latex paint on the wall to wall berber carpet! I was in panic mode and scooped up as much as I could then got out the carpet cleaner and sucked it up...flooded it....then sucked and scrubbed...this went on until almost 1AM....I even had paint in my hair....so jumped in the tub ....I did manage to get it all up! Yippee, but boy was I sore this morning!

I will never do that again! Grrrrr.....JJ

Jill,

I know it wasn't funny at the time, but the visual picture you "painted" in your post has me laughing. It sounds like something I would do, so I really can relate! It reminds me of that old Pennsylvania Dutch saying "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get"! I hope you saved the rug.

Love,

Polly

 Hey, we have something in common now (besides MC).

I will never forget dropping a paint can (white paint) on my BRAND NEW carpeting. Talk about PANIC. Luckly there wasn't a lot of paint in the can but you'd be amazed how far and widespread a little paint can fly!!

I did the same thing you did. scooped up as much as possible. Grabbed the carpet shampooer (which had just arrived the DAY BEFORE - Thank God) and just kept shooting down water and sucking it up until it was all gone. I was sooooooo relieved.

Good work, Jill.

Bummer Jill! I could care less if there is a paint smell in your place, after all the work we've had done here with the repiping of the building I don't think I'd feel at home if it DIDN'T smell like paint. LOL

See you tonight

Oh, no!!!! I have done that. Stepped in the roller pan in my :footprint: !! I was trapped!! Fortunately, Big Bad John, the painter and my son, was helping me and he had to carry me out to the patio so I could wash them off. I hate to think what I would have done if I had been alone. I would still be there.

Poor Jill!!!

Sally
