HS reunion....

Post by CAMary »

Well I went to my 20 year reunion and I'm so glad!! It was a lot of fun, and 90% of the people were sooo nice (now that we are all adults  )
It was sooo bizarre - like being in a time warp - people either looked exactly the same or so different I would never recognize them!!

The guy who had a locker next to me from 7-12th grade is the broadcast TV announcer for the San Diego Padres - he told me I looked really good - the same as 20 years ago - and couldn't believe I had 3 kids  So many people came up to talk to me that I thought wouldn't remember me (I was a very quiet and shy bookworm and band geek) - and everyone remembered how I had always been so nice to everyone :???: Even some snooty cheerleader-types came up and said hello and gave me a hug - it was really surreal...

Tomorrow is the last part - a family picnic - should be fun as well!! Oh and one of my acquaintences from 10th grade just had her 9th baby - can you imagine?!?! My group of friends had this weird guy who used to bug us at dances -- well he was there, and unfortunately hasn't changed  Luckily Mike was there to save me tonight, but last night at the grads only meet 'n greet he was coming on to all of the women and being really lecherous - yuck-O!!! I'm so glad I was able to get past my hang-ups and go and have fun - it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience

Mary, that sounds like a wonderful time. I always find it weird when people who wouldn't give me the time of day in HS stop to talk to me. There was a guy like that who went to the same college as me...wouldn't speak to me in town, but if I ran into him on campus, he'd talk my ear off.

Glad you went and had fun. Enjoy the picknic today (that is a really neat idea).

REUNION

Post by barbaranoela »

Sounds like a terrific time for U Mary~~~~~and so nice for U to *C* the wonderful impact U left on people to remember U with~~~

I always wished our High would start something but never did
And Mr. Louie also feels so badly that he never had a class reunion--
UNTIL I reminded him :graduate: how could U??? since U quit school at 16!!!! :raspberry: and how he regrets what he did---

It was so funny when he said that!!!!
But he did a good job with his life---- :pulsinghearts:

Hi...sounds like a good time! I am crashing a re-union next weekend...I didn't graduate from the HS, but knew a ton of people who did..ha ha....I was a summer girl on a local island. Actually, a friend invited me, so I'm not exactly crashing. My 35th is next summer...we are already making plans. It is always interesting to see old friends and foes....
