Gaea just called me and she fell off a ladder while do some home repairs. She has cracked her heel and the doctor quit counting after finding more than 8 fractures. She goes in for surgery next Wednesday. She is in pretty bad shape, poor thing! It'll be 7 or 8 weeks before she even makes it back to work. Now that they've put a cast on (after the swelling went down) she can't even sit up and is doing bed rest and narcotics.
On a happier note she would like to be added to the list coming to Sally's party next summer. Whew - I was wondering if I'd have my tequila swilling partner to help me do dishes! Wait, knowing her, she'll start limping about and use the heel as an excuse to just sit around and order drinks and not do dishes hmmppphhh!

I was just going to write to her and send her a personal invite. I am so sorry to hear about her heel. Painful!!! And you can't do ANYTHING if your heel is broken. I have just been thinking about it. Even hobbling to the bathroom must be agony. Thank heavens for narcotics, but they don't let you do much of anything either. How awful. Well, now I will write to her about this.

Oh dear, Gaea must be in really bad shape. How far did she fall? I don't have her MSN hotmail either. I have been out of it for a few days now, and so much happens. Poor Gaea! If you do get her correct email, could you send it along to me too. I would like to send her a note to get better, or rather heal quick.
