Hello from Watertown and Mudville

Post by annie oakley »

Well...here I sit on my day off watching the rain fall...... :raincloud: It has rained everyday off and on for the 6. But West Texas needs it. Yhere's one problem I have with it and that it that I have about 1/2 mile of dirt road mixed with a small amount of calechy and rocks that when near flooding is like an Ice rink...especially since I have not gotton better treaded tires (off road) for the truck. :banghead: SOOOO...I went to town today (errands and etc.) It was a bit slippy sliddy out the drive and down my short dirt road...only nearly went in the ditch 3 times, but made it thru ok. :umbrella: I get to town and it stops raining for now.....got back home and decided I would back in the drive and back under the tin cover Mike made for me to park under....... I started to slide toward the tree where I have a hummer feeder hung....then Started to slide toward the welding trailer.....then finially got 1/2 way up the drive and parked it. SOOOOO we are getting alot of rain in my part of the country. How bout ya'll????? Love Oma

I think we have your weather up here Oma. It's a beautiful day...a small dusting of clouds, mostly sunny and hot.

Drive careful!

Howdy, wet Oma.

We are "Spittin Dust" down here in so. OH. Our grass is all dried up. My husband just bought a new lawn tractor, and has not had a chance to use it this summer.

Stay dry, and be careful,

Hugs,

Hi Oma,

Yeah, it's raining here again today, too. So far, it's been just light showers yesterday and today, but it's starting to rain hard, right now. At this rate, we're not going to get much accomplished this afternoon. Sigh.

Love,

Hi Oma!

North Central Ohio got a thunder-boomer Saturday night (high winds, lightening and thunder and quit a bit of rain). Sunday we had a few sprinkles and the same with today so far. We need the rain though. We have had some high temps in this neck of the woods this summer and the grass was turning brown.

Today it is pretty cloudy and much cooler.

So sorry about all the mud, Oma. I know it's a BIG aggrevation. Wish we could take some of the rain for you.

Been really dry here and, like Ohio, grass is dried up. We got a good shower on Saturday and a little more yesterday, but it's not enough.

It's cooler today. Don't even have the AC on but it was "iffy" there for a while.

Well In a 24 hr period we recieved 2 inches of rain. Mike called me from Houstoon to tell me according to radar we should get some more here tonight. I said Thanks Dear :mallet: But the farmers here love all this rain...at least until it starts to flood them all out. I would like to send some of it to those of you that are dry. But I should not complain.....as soon as you start to complain it really can get bad. Truck is aimed staright out the drive way and hopefully I can get past that 1/2 mile of dirt road. Love to all Wet Oma
