That sounds delicious, I hope you are not intolerant to egg (some of us are). Also make sure the sausage does not have cereal (gluten) in it.

Best, ant

I checked out the sausages. They are free-range organic meat and organic herbs. However I started to feel and hear colon rumblings and then the cramps and then I visited the restroom. We where to go to Mass afterwards. My husband and I decided that I had better get home. So, no Mass this week. Would food give me a re-action so fast? Could the fat in the sausage given me a re-action so fast? I need to research this. Feeling better now.

Peggyann,

Eggs will give me a reaction within a couple of hours.

Thank you. I am thinking that fat is giving me some trouble. I had custard for dessert tonight. I am curious to see if I have a reaction later on. However, I got nasty cramps and D while eating a rice cake and organic blackberry fruit spread this afternoon. Perhaps pectin is the bad guy. This is my first real day of GF. I feel pretty proud of myself. I saw the lovely looking blueberry muffins at my favorite cafe this morning and had applesauce instead. What I good girl I am.

If you ate that lettuce for breakfast, that would have done me in. Lettuce is a big no-no for most of us with MC, until our intestines heal.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

No lettuce during flare-ups makes sense. We have a big bunch of baby spinach in the frig. I don't think I'll be eating any for the time being. We have no-fat cottage cheese in the fridge also. I am a little hesitant about eating that also.

Again, thanks for all your help and patience.
