Asacol from Canadian pharmacy?

Post by Wndrwmn »

Anyone know if Asacol can be ordered from Canadian pharmacies? I had a reaction to Entocort, so I am now on Asacol. Since I changed insurances the normal $40 I paid for a month supply is now $100, just curious if I could get it cheaper from Canada. I have stopped taking it for now, but feel things going back to their old LC ways. Thanks!

Becky,

Alldaychemist sells it for 41.3 cents per tablet, so if you are taking 8 per day, a 30 day supply would cost $99.12. I doubt that a Canadian pharmacy would be any cheaper, since they will probably be selling the same product, at the same cost to them. I could be wrong about that, though.

Hi,
If you need to refill your Asacol prescription while waiting for an online supply here is a website that advertises a coupon to take $50.00 off each prescription refill. It appears you need to call an 800 number to register. http://www.internetdrugcoupons.com/asacol-Coupon

Lialda and Apriso offer coupons that can be activated and printed right from the website that will also provide $50.00 each refill. If you type in "Lialda coupon" or "Apriso coupon" to search you will see them. I know you are not on either of these alternatives but wasn't sure how long you will have to wait for the Asacol coupon. Maybe an alternative in the short term if your doctor is agreeable.

Sorry you are seeing the signs of MC. Hope you will be feeling better soon. Take care.

I have been buying my scripts from CrossBorder pharmacy and they have Asacol generic, 100 tablets for 43.26. They have been a good pharmacy with good ship times. Last month, I received my Entocort in 9 days, and the month before it took about 21 days.
