More confusing discomfort

Post by Peggyanns1955 »

I attempted to do an easy run on my tread machine (TM) this morning. Before getting on I had disabling pain on my left side. After it was over I got on the TM and started with a light jog. I felt discomfort in my middle chest area, lower back area and lower right ab area. My husband told me to stop. I started to cry. He feels so badly for me. My back is still hurting. I have not heard from my doctor regarding the colonoscopy. It has been 1 week today. How long should I wait? I don't want to be a bother. Anyone ever experience these symptoms?

Thanks;

Peggyanns1955,
It sounds like you are in a lot of pain. What precautions did they give you after the colonoscopy? If you have any fever or chills I would urge you to race back to your doctor. Colonoscopy, especially with biopsies, is not without risks. There is a small risk of infection, tearing, etc. If your symptoms are severe and not improving, please see your doc ASAP.

I agree with Zizzle. It's time for a call to your doctor to let them know what's going on with regard to your symptoms and also inquire about your pathology results. That's what they are getting paid for.

I can't even imagine doing anything more than walking on a treadmill, let alone running. I miss working out but have given it up for the time being. I am experiencing a ton of back pain right now too. I'm listening to my body and it's telling me no working out.

Peggyanns1955,

I agree fully with what has been said here already - especially the part of listening to your body. We each have so much internal wisdom telling us what's right and wrong, so paying attention to this "inner voice" is essential.

Still waiting for your test results after a whole week has gone by seems very unreasonable to me, and I would certainly call and inquire. Also, it's important that your doc knows about what you're experiencing health wise at this point in time. Lots of luck to you in sorting out what's going on - hope you feel better real soon.

Love,
Kari

Thank you for your responces. My husband agrees with you also. I feel better now, no crippling pain anymore. I will call tomorrow and tell him how I have been feeling for the past week. I spit up some blood the afternoon of the colonoscopy. I want to make sure there is a record of everything. In retrospect I should have called about that last week but I was so ill I was not thinking clearly.
