burning sensation??
i believe someone else had asked this question, but i can't seem to find it....anyone know what could be the cause for a "burning" sensation in the gut....i sometimes get it in the upper area and sometimes in the middle and sometimes lower??? any ideas? thanks!
Some people who are casein-sensitive have that symptom, if they ingest dairy products, but it can also be caused by other sensitivities.willabec wrote:i have also been clearing my throat more than usual....think that could be related as well??
I was under the impression that you have eliminated all dairy products from your diet, but if you're still eating them, that's probably the cause of your gas, your burning sensation, your loose stools, and your increased throat clearing.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
acid causes Gas. Zantac is for short term relief. It is an acid reducer. Take one and lay on your left side, which will enable the gas to move out more rapidly. No prescription required. Only have to take one when you need to take one.
PPI's like Prilosec, Protonix, Aciphex are for long term daily use, and you should generally not take unless your Doc tells you to. Many MC'ers believe that PPI's caused their MC.
Because PPI's and Zantac act differently in your gut, you can take both at the same time. One for short term relief and the other to stop the production of acid altogether. Again, talk to your Doc before doing this.
Zantac is the safest, most effective way to combat your burning.
Good luck,
