Tex and Gloria,

Mary Beth says that Quinoa is a seed like sunflower is a seed. I seem to be doing pretty good with it so far - a couple of days. I cook it for the whole 15 minutes and it is very soft. I am severly limiting my diet for awhile and will begin introducing one thing at a time. May have to eliminate potatoes.

Yes, I'm aware that quinoa is a seed. Botanically seeds may be different from grains, but cooking, grinding and eating them seem to be the same. That is, they both take quite a fairly long time to soften because they can have pretty hard shells. I found that the whole grain/seed cooked was a little too rough for my inflammed gut. That's why I ground them to a coarse meal. We are all different and some may be able to handle the whole grains/seeds.

Gloria,

I may have to grind mine too. I will see what happens in the next couple of days. Thanks for all your support!
