My Bad
Hi Friends,
For 5 weeks now I have dutifully added only one new food a day. HOWEVER, today I just couldn't stand it and had to eat 2 new ones. I made a crockpot pot roast with sweet potatoes, turnips (new), parsnips (new), and onions. I had planned to eat only one of them but I was too tempted. I guess the worst that can happen is that if I react, I'll have to test each separately. Oh well, it actually felt good to cheat a little. (TeeHee). You do what you gotta do, right? And they tasted SOOOO good! Of course, if I react it will change my lunch plans for leftovers tomorrow.

Polly,
Feeling a little rebellious today, eh? Well, if you react, the solution is simple . . . go back and test each new food separately.
Glad you enjoyed it and hope you will be eating it for lunch tomorrow
Love,
Mary Beth

Revised update:
Well, I spoke too soon. When I posted on my success yesterday, I had had a normal morning BM and thought all was OK. NOT!!! Three hours later (when I was meeting with my tax consultant - ugh) I suddenly got "THAT" feeling. I had not eaten any breakfast, so I knew it was from dinner the night before. Does anyone know what I mean by "THAT" feeling? It's before any GI symptoms kick in and the best way I can describe it is that it is the opposite of a feeling of well being. Just an overall feeling, almost like impending doom, and you think you might be really be getting sick, deathly sick. After about 10 min. I had D and 15 min. later D again. I felt much better after that, except that I had a mild headache for most of the day. Am fine today.
So, wouldn't you know that the one time I tested 2 foods this would happen? Figures, eh? The universe was telling me to slow down and stop being rebellious, I guess. I think I will wait awhile before eating parsnips and turnips again and go back to testing the rest of the green foods.
Love,
Polly
P.S. Shirley, do I have to give back the 2 thumbs up?
P.P.S. Ant, I guess I'm not that lucky. sigh.

Polly,
At least you know that one or both of these might be a problem. If I'm remembering correctly, both are rather high fiber foods. It might just take a while since you last major flare to be able to handle that.
I understand your feeling. I've had it in a store and knew I needed to find the bathroom NOW. Of course, I usually was at the opposite end.
Hugs and continued good luck.

Hi Polly,
Isn't it crazy that MC doesn't allow for even a tiny little bit of cockiness :)??? You have to learn the hard way, over and over again to never ever disobey the MC monster!!!
I'm wondering if you are indeed OK with both the parsnip and the turnip if eaten separately? It seems that sometimes foods react TOGETHER??? I'm hoping that this is the case .
Love,
Kari
P.S. I definitely know what you mean about "THAT" feeling ..............
