Anyone Else Miss Kellog's Rice Crispies?

Post by tex »

Well, according to this news, found at the blog address listed below, a GF version will be available about May of this year. It will be interesting to see what the new ingredient list includes.
"Thank you for contacting us regarding our cereal products.

We are excited to tell you that we will have a Rice Krispies Gluten Free cereal launching late May 2011. Although we do not have a lot of information to share with you at this time, we encourage you to look for this product on your stores shelves in a few months.

We appreciate your interest in our company and products.

Sincerely,

I hope they don't have the same problem as Chex. And, I wonder if this will be the same as Rice Dream, a small amount of gluten, just under the limit.

I'll probably stick with Erewhon now that I can get it at Wally World.

I liked rice krispies but never ate cereal that often anyway. If they keep soy out of them I'll probably get some.

Seems like the new GF cake & brownie mixes like Betty Crocker just have to stick soy in there.

Thanks.

I know, and I'd love to know why that is.
