Good Evening, All :)

Post by TendrTummy »

I stopped by tonight cuz I'm feeling sorry for myself. Last coupla days, bad D, horrible horrible episodes that I don't care to remember, resulting of course in back and stomach pain.. on top of it, it feels like a nerve is pinched in my lower back (lower lung area) and the pain is radiating all the way down my right leg into my toes. My eyes water thinking about it.. So I'm probably not hanging around.. Noticed the chat feature tho, excitedly logged into it, but noone was around :( I'll have to stop by a LOT more often.. I'm sorry I've not been around.. I'm SO busy with work and then tired at night..

My job's improved tho, so that's good, I guess. I'm happy at work and that improves my stress level. I don't understand the setback. I haven't been cheating on my diet much at all. I'm going to eliminate some of my borderline items at Trent's suggestion.. this has been going on for too long. I kept telling myself tomorrow I'd feel better. Anyway, hopefully the diet changes will produce results.. I'll stop by again this weekend :)

I'm REALLY GLAD to hear from you, Christine!!! Really missed you a lot but someone reported that you were extremely busy at work and
CONGRATULATIONS on the promotion!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you are sick though, and still having pain. I sure hope you can get it worked out soon. I was really hoping that by now you were feeling a lot better.

I hope you can stop by more often. We do miss you!!

Hi Christine, it's good to see you. I'm glad the work situation has improved. I know that was a trial for you for awhile.

So sorry about the pain. Might be you are having a pinched nerve problem. Could be as simple as that.

Good for you that you are sticking with your diet. Congrats on that - hard to do, I know.

I've been to the chat room a lot also and seem to talk to myself! Not a good thing! LOL

Hope to chat with you soon! Take care of yourself. We miss you but I for one, understand the tired thing. I have been so tired after work that I have taken a nap after work the last three nights.

Do take care, chat with you soon.

Hi Christine,

I'm sory to hear about your setback--it sounds pretty rough. Bummer for sure.

Definitely try eliminating any questionable diet items, but I wonder if there is any possibility that you might actually have a pinched nerve. The pain from a food intolerance shouldn't be extending all the way down into your leg.

The pain pattern sounds a lot like sciatica pain, though it shouldn't be originating quite as high as your lung. It may be possible, though, that the pain is so severe that it just feels as if it extends up that high.

If the symptoms are due to sciatic nerve damage, (as opposed to just nerve irritation), and it is the cause of your diarrhea, (especially if it's causing bowel incontinence, and it's getting worse, rather than better), you should seek medical help ASAP.

You might check it out on the web, to see if your symptoms fit. Here's a site with some information, but there are many:

Please don't be a stranger, especially when you're hurting,

Sounds VERY much like me, Wayne :(

At the moment, I can mainly feel it right above my waistline in back, and it extends down my bottom, into my right leg. My calf and the bottom/sides of my foot are affected. And I think I have blood in my stool again.

I can't tell if the pain is causing the diarrhea or if the diarrhea is causing the pain.

Christine, the sciatic nerve problem, if that is indeed what it is, will not go away on its own. I speak from experience on that one.

I was given muscle relaxers. It did help and setting certain ways did relieve the pain (sometimes).

Hope you are feeling better soon. Keep an eye on that blood too. Not a good thing.
