Completely off Entocort

Post by Umber »

I have been off entocort for a few weeks now and so far so good. I have had a couple D incidents but that is it. Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have to take it anymore.

Next to go is the anti-depressants and after that high blood pressure medication.

That will take care of 4 prescriptions and leave the two I absolutely have to take, Thyroid meds & progesterone cream. If I can get my adrenals working properly then just maybe I won't need the very low dose of thyroid.

With all the "stuff" I am taking I feel like my body is a toxic wast dump.

I went in for my last x-ray on my neck surgery. They called me back for another x-ray a different view. Didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the nurse. I hope all is well, my surgeon has a 100% success rate for my type of surgery. It would be terrible to be the one to break his trend.
I think I would feel worse about that than if the surgery didn't work. With my luck who knows! Hehe!

Hugs

Lori

Crossing my fingers and toes for you Lori.

Thought this is interesting, Tex I believe, advised me when I weaned off Entocort that studies have shown there is an eight week marker period after stopping Entocort so if you can make it to that point you just might have it licked. Sure hope that you will fall into this catagory :shakehands: and not have to take it again.

Good luck with your detoxification program- it sounds like a good plan.
Keep us posted and try (know it's hard) not to worry.

Hi Lori,

I am glad for you that you are off the Entocort and still holding after two weeks. I can imagine how good it must feel to get off some of the many medications you are taking. But don't be too hard on yourself - sometimes nature needs a little help and it is much better to take a medication when it is needed than to be sick. Sometimes the medication is exactly the opposite of toxic - it is what is called for and needed in order to live the life that is yours to the fullest. Only you will know what is the right thing for you to do and it looks like you are doing a great job making those decisions. Thumbs up!!

Love,
Karen
