Arlene,

I like your menu! I had kabocha squash for breakfast today (similar to pumpkin/butternut squash). It was much sweeter than I remember squash tasting. I think I'll add a little or ginger or cinnamon when I get more adventurous. I also had a sweet potato for breakfast a couple of days last week, and found it really satisfying and tasty. I had it with eggs, but I think I'm going to give them a little time-out for now.

I found the first few low-starch days very tough. I was eating all the wrong proportions, because I was cautious about the fiber in the few fruits/veg I was having, so keeping those servings small, but unaccustomed to filling the space with meat or broth. I'm still not sure I got it right, but having no grains has stopped seeming like a meal-planning bafflement.

And I heartly agree, anything besides D is progress. Interesting that strawberries are low FODMAP. I would have guessed them as risky for me - but I'm learning my guesses aren't something to go by. (Except that one strong intuition I had that gluten grains were not my friend, which I wish I had respected!)
