Bye bye everybody...I am taking off for my camping trip this morning. I'll be back Thursday afternoon. The weather has cooled down and it should be a great trip to Mt. Rainier Park....see ya all later in the week!

Whew, busy day....back a day early! My niece found out that she has a job interview tomorrow afternoon....so...we packed-up and drove home....45 mins to pack and a 2 hour drive. Sigh. We had a blast, but froze last night...brrrrrrr....we could see our breath...forgot it gets cold in the mountains, even in Aug. I made turkey chili for dinner last night and we had s'mores around the campfire....my low carb diet went out the window! This morning we walked to some hot springs and up to the ranger station...it was a nice little work-out. Our camp site overlooked the Ohanapecosh River and the sound of rushing water was very peaceful....loved the chipmunks and birds too! Very cool....my niece and I may try to camp again over Labor Day weekend...she is hooked!

Sounds like you had alot of fun. The wildlife can be so relaxing. I went camping for two weeks in the Uinta Mountains and didn't want to return. Love Oma
