Feeling Good

Discussions can be posted here about mediator release testing (MRT), as offered by Oxford Biological Technologies, in conjunction with the LEAP program, which is claimed to determine a relative level of sensitivity to various foods and chemicals by measuring an increase in the ratio of liquids to solids in a blood sample that has been exposed to a specific allergen.

Kari,

I'm sorry to hear about the cloud in the sky. But I agree, it's good news when a flare can be reined in, instead of spiraling. It makes sense that a more healed body would recover faster. And also, when there are fewer irritants in the system, I think we can handle a little more of any one thing that has potential to disrupt. I find during peak pollen season that someone else's cat will make me sneeze (I'm acclimated to ours?), and that I'm very sensitive to ingredients in skin lotions. It feels as though I'm a glass filled close to the brim, and it only takes a few drops to spill over; at other times of year, I have greater 'capacity.' Totally unscientific - but I think it applies to stress-related symptoms of other kinds, too. It's wonderful that you've been able to turn down the volume on this flare so quickly.

Kisses to your tagine,

Sara
