Hi Barbara, its great to see you posting again and I'm sorry about this 'complication' after the colonoscopy. At least its over now.

I have also been reading your other posts about Kait and wanted to say congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment.

I will be heading back to Australia on Saturday AM and wanted to ask did you want any additional post cards, Gabes & I were just talking about this and I would be happy to bring some back for you.

Let me know

Do you trust this doctor???

I dropped my original gastro doc for many reasons.

One he changed to only doing procedures endoscopies and colonoscopies and he did NOT see patients afterwards to review results.. he had his PA do it.

Two... when I ended up with what I now know as CC but had no clue after the colonoscopy he still refused to see me.. had to see PA again.. after several visits with the PA and having the dr tell the receptionist to call in various prescriptions that did not work.. I was fed up.

Three... while waiting for my husband to get an endoscopy from this same doctor (he had seen him for years) I went out for a smoke and was talking to a man whose wife was in for corrective surgery.. seems the doc who was going my hubby's endoscopy had done one on his wife.. and the smaller scopes had been forgotten.. doc was upset used bigger ones and ripped the throat of the patient.

That did it. I told my husband that even though he liked the gastro doc I was not willing to risk his life with the man and he was NOT going to go back other than to get the recent results!

Barbara,
Bleeding is certainly a worrisome complication. If your GI is unresponsive, perhaps it would be worth seeing your primary care doc to do bloodwork and rule out infection?

Is it bright red blood? Is it coming from your rectum or is it in the toilet in your stool?
