Joe,
I think that's fascinating. I have long beleived in energy levels and think it can be sensed. Would love to have that technology in my practice:)
Sara,
Good luck with the chooks and the new neighbors. I would love to have chickens but there are deed restrictions where we live:(

Thanks, Mary Beth - chicken-raising is growing in popularity here in NYC (no roosters allowed). I will let you know if it starts happening a little closer to my own home.
Joe, I would love to know more about this - I know you'll share what you uncover, particularly but not only as it relates to MC treatment.
Love,
Sara

There are no deed restrictions affecting poultry out here in the country, but unfortunately, the local coyote and bobcat populations impose the most severe restrictions of all. Free range chickens wouldn't last very long.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I do know folks here in Brooklyn who've lost chickens to possums & raccoons (I know someone who lost a pet duck to a raccoon, even). I believe the chickens manage to intimidate the feral cat population...
I bet the bobcats & coyotes are a lot faster at getting that job done, though.
However, our gardens are naturally quite deer-proof ;) A deer would need to get a helicopter ride over the house, the side building, or the other-side or rear fence to have a shot at my asparagus. (Unfortunately, my dreamed-of hot-tub is going to have a similar problem finding its way into our backyard.)

Yep, when I was growing up, we always had chickens, (and various other livestock), and opossums and raccoons, (and skunks and an occasional mink), were regular problems, but when the coyotes and bobcats migrated into this part of the country, all the poultry flocks disappeared rather quickly, due to "natural" attrition.
