Thank you for your concern. I really appreciate your help and love.

I am still waiting for the cardiologist to call me and confirm the appointment. (I hope to fulfil their promise to visit him next week).

It seem the pericarditis is caused because I have a deficiency of the vitamin B12. But this has not been confirmed yet.
I am taking vitamin B12 (2 pills a day), Omeprazol (to protect the stomach) and as anti-inflammatory: Inyesprin forte (1 every 12 hours).

No antibiotic because according to the doctor at the Hospital he said this is only needed when having fever... (I had many shiverings and sweats, but no fever yet).

Polly, can you tell me where I can find a probiotic. I know Yhogurt and milk has, but as I am intolerant to casein (to dairy) and I agree it is necessary to take a probiotic, is there anything else containing probiotic?

I am still a little worried cause they did not take a ecography and therefore were not able to detect if there is a spillage of liquid, but I hope the cardiologist will do his best.

Looking back in time, I remember I had some problems that could be related with the heart, but I never thought it could be important... I have been unable to do any exercise because of getting a very fast heart rate swimming, walking, getting the stairs up, etc.... I will tell him.

Thank you for your support. All of you.
Hugs.
Love,
Tessa

Hi Tessa,

You sound better - perhaps it is just an improvement in mood?

Many of us have taken or are taking a probiotic to help with the bacterial flora in the gut - the probiotic adds good bacteria.
Over here you can get probiotics to take as a supplement - not just as part of a food product like yoghurt. These supplements are found at health food stores and you can find some at some pharmacies/drug stores as well. It is important that you find a brand that doesn't contain any of your triggers; like for example gluten or dairy. Often the label on the probiotic will tell you which allergens it is free of - but you should try to find a well informed person to ask in the HF store or drug store; sometimes they know a lot and they can help you. Keep asking the same question in 2-3 different ways to be sure they are answering the question you are asking.

In the old GF Kitchen on Sally's board we had lenghty threads/discussions on B12 at different times. Lucy knows a lot about it; she is however very busy taking care of her mother who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease so she may not have the time to tell you about B12; one of the important things is to take a sublingual (under the tongue) type B12 tablet. It should disolve under the tongue and be absorbed through the skin in the mouth. If you take a B12 tablet that you "eat" it isn't going to be absorbed.

I will try to find the old B12 threads for you because they are VERY informative and helpful.

Meat is a source of B12.

Love,
Karen

Here is a link to one thread in the old kitchen about B12 - but it isn't terribly informative. There are many more - maybe someone else has the time/skill to find more for you.

Thank you for the info Karen. I´ll look for it.

I am still extremely tired when breathing, talking, standing up...
But I have bad news. They´ve called me from Hospital just to tell me that they cannot give me a sooner appointment and asked me to go on the 26th of September... Ooppps  We will call the cardiologist himself on Monday to discuss about this. It is absolutely impossible to wait until the 26th! Even more without knowing exactly what is going on with me. What happens if the doctor yesterday at the Hospital (who was not a cardiologist) made a wrong diagnosis? :???:

I´ll keep you updated.

Oh Tessa

So sorry about all of your problems. It is so hard to get in to see specialists. I can bring you the probiotic that I use (casein free) when I come in October if you can wait that long. I am so looking forward to our visit & hope you heal quickly. Love & light, Rita

Tessa,
I think you should talk to the cardiologist. I hope they let you through to him. I agree that Sept. 26 is too long to wait and wonder.
