And the most famous malapropism is..... "I reached the pineapple of my career", when Mrs Malaprop should have said "I have reached the pinnacle of my career"The terms malapropism and the earlier variant malaprop come from Richard Brinsley Sheridan's 1775 play The Rivals, and in particular the character Mrs. Malaprop............who frequently misspoke (to great comic effect)

Wow Ant - you do know your English Lit:) I was thinking about you yesterday when I heard the line "slowly, slowly, catchee monkey" spoken in an old British mystery movie. Couldn't believe my ears and went directly to the internet to goggle it to learn about the history of the line :).

Just so you know, something did go slightly wrong with my exam yesterday...
Special circumstances for exams were ignored/forgotten and I wasn't given a computer to use, as I can't write for very long. Had to start writing but then I was moved to another room with computer and given extra time. it wasn't anything major, but it added to my stress which obviously wasn't needed. Arrangements have been put in place for next exam on friday thankfully!
