After two days of my plain diet, I am already doing much better, I had an almost normal BM this morning (and only one). Also the gurgling noises in my stomach are much less. It's not normal again, but at least it is much better.

Harma,

This is very good news - you must be so relieved. I can imagine how hard it must have been to have all new food shopping options, and how easy it would be for something to slip in that wasn't right for you. I bet you'll be able to maintain improved health now that you've got things back under your control.

Hooray for the BRAT diet! That was a fast response, (it took only 2 days).

Thanks for the update.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Well I am doing better, it's not back to normal. It's a bit in between D and the normal BM's I had before. Often it's a mixture of solid pieces and D and sometimes only a little D. Writing this, I thought, IMG, on this board we have as many expressions and ways of describing our toilet habits, BM's and stools as we have for the weather (especially the rain) in the Netherlands.

It's getting better, what is very good so fast so soon, but not what is used to be.

I also realized this morning, with the kind of "in between" BM's, that exactly how it has been for almost ten years. Before the MC really became active. A normal BM in morning followed by a second with (a little) D. Or a mixture of both. So my conclusion is, all those years I was struggling with my "mild" bowel problems what any doctor would consider mild IBS, it was MC. Maybe a pre-stage, maybe a mild version. But it always was MC (at least that is my personal opinion). Not that it makes any difference know, since it all is in the past. I just helps understanding things a bit better.
