Hurricane Katrina

Post by Tessa »

I do not know if someone of this forum lives in the area expected to be hit by Hurricane Katrina and if you live there, I hope you are not reading this message and left hours ago.

This is the last report of Katrina:
http://www.weather.com/maps/news/atlsto ... enter_maps

According to sources I have the eye has cleaned up and the cloud tops in the core are really starting to fire up.
It seems that the storm is getting ready to intensify again and become even worse than a Cat. 5  Oh, my God!

I am extremely worried for all and very sad. This is going to be a desaster. I know from sources living in New Orleans that many people have not evacuated and are still at home... I imagine what is going to happen and feel hopeless... I do not have the words...

Let´s pray for all.

Love,
Tessa.

P.S.: I am feeling better now. Thank you all for caring about me.

I am watching the hurricane on NOAA, etc.

This information was published and I thought you had to know:

WARNING: To Everyone living well inland, in states such as Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia, The Carolinas, Tenessee and Kentucky, please keep your eye on Katrina. You will be affected. Be prepared to stay indoors, have your disaster kit ready. Torrential downpours will likely cause trees to uproot and widespread power outages. You don't have to be anywhere near the eye to feel the effects of a hurricane. You also have time to prepare and stock up on essentials or start that disaster kit you have always meant to start.

Hi Tessa,

That is a really bad storm, and I'm glad that I'm on the dry side of it. I don't believe that it will affect our weather here in Texas.

Hey, we have a chat scheduled for about half an hour from now, if you want to join. I think I'll go there now, and see if anyone shows up early.

Love,
Wayne

Hi Tessa----
It surely sounds like a bad storm coming-----
We have been watching the evacuation on TV this morning----fortunately Lou and I are in New York--

New Orleans seems to be below the water level and they are saying if the storm continues,@ the rate its going, the area called the Quarter, will be totally under water???

I am praying for all those in the path of this storm--

Catch U later--
I assume U are now in the evening hours---here it is only 4pm --

Thank you for caring so much Tessa, it shows through.

I, too, am praying for all concerned.
