Did you fill out the poll form with multiple choices?

I need details to solve the problem. How far did it let you get with the setup process? Exactly when did things fall apart?

Wayne,

If I recall right, I typed a message content to go along with the poll. Then typed my first poll option and clicked a box to the right that said other poll options or choices. (or something like that) When I did that, my message appeared to post itself- but it never did show up as a new thread. Hope that helps

Joanna

Hi Joanna,

Here's the problem, (I think): You misinterpreted it's actions. The message box was merely refreshing itself, and adding another line, where you could key in another selection for the poll. It will do that every time you add a line to the poll choices. Until you click on "Submit", it will not submit the post. I'll bet it was still waiting for you to complete your poll information, and click on "Submit".

Try it again, and if it still gives you problems, please let me know.

Love,
Wayne

I can't seem to figure out how to do a poll either.

Are there instructions on the site somewhere? I'd love to create one!

Well, first click on the "new topic" button, and on the page that the system opens, type a title in the subject line, and then type your post with any instructions or comments about the poll, in the main window, (beside the emoticons), then scroll down the page and type your poll question in the narrow window labeled "Poll question". Then, in the bigger window below that, list all your poll options, (selections). Enter only one option per line, and hit the "Enter" key, (only once per line), after you finish typing each option. Unless you have some reason to limit the number of days the poll will run, leave the number of days blank.

Ignore the registration section, (that doesn't apply to polls - it's for a different purpose), and click on the "Submit" button. After the system updates, if you need to edit anything in it, just click on the "edit" button in the upper right corner of the post window.

If you post it on the Main Message Board, you'll get a much better response rate, and I can move it to the "Polls" forum later.

If you have any problems, please ask.
