Well folks today was he first of several PP family member get togethers that I will have the privilege of over the next week.

Today I had the honor to meet with Nancy (nancyl) and her husband Ted at a restaurant called Martha's exchange in Nashua NH

Nancy and her husband are just an amazing people and it was great to have a chance to meet and talk with them. I was so impressed at Nancy's great attitude that she has kept through all of this and how her great attitude is carrying them on a great upcoming trip.

I now have a few more recipe ideas to try including one that sounds like a good addition to Gabes bubble and squeak recipe. Nancy has tried roasted asparagus with eggs and I have to say that sounds great, I plan on trying that on Sunday morning.

Next stop is a trip to Baltimore Maryland and Washington DC where I will have the honor of having dinner with Polly and her husband and then coffee and a snack with Zizzle on Tuesday afternoon.

I am glad I have this chance, I have found all the wonderful people on this site to be an amazing group, and it has been my privilege to get to know each of you.

Now after this I will have to travel around Oz to meet the wonderful folks down under.

Next stop Baltimore / Washington DC

Thanks so much for sharing this (you look great, Nancy, and look how cute your sweet hubby is!).

Joe, you are looking exceptionally well yourself, especially with all this travel and planning. I promise not to sulk if your ambassadorship doesn't include NYC in 2011 ;) But whenever you do head this way, be assured that Red Sox Nation is alive and well here, despite the extreme tediousness of those other teams. (I moved here in 1986 - don't get me started.)

I love how you are connecting us in new ways - it's very hope-inspiring.

Love,
Sara

Thank you Sara for the kind words. My hubby hates having his picture taken. He is really quite jovial. It was great meeting Joe; we enjoyed our lunch and the two hours just flew by. It's amazing to me how sometimes we can make such a quick connection with a person we've only recently met and you know it's going to be a life long friendship. Joe is a wonderful guy and I'm happy for the others who will get to spend some time with him.

Well, Sara, we're not too far from NY so who knows, maybe some day we will meet. My son lives on the Jersey Shore and his girlfriend works in Manhattan.

How wonderful you're coming to Baltimore! I've lived here now for 10 years and love it (transplant from NJ). If I wasn't recovering from surgery I'd ask to tag along! There are 2 good GF restaurants in the city - Sweet Sin and Meet 27 right next to each other; but if you're in Baltimore you really have to try the crabs at a place on the water to really appreciate it and there's so many to choose from! Enjoy your visit and happy travelling!

Nice to see your picture! If you're even mentioning crabs and restaurants with eagerness, I hope that is a very positive sign for your recovery. Hope you're feeling great.

and Nancy - I could actually see that look in your husband's eyes, because my husband's camera face is very similar ;)

Love,
Sara

Joe,
I had AMAZING GF/DF/SF cupcakes from Sweet Sin for my birthday. They sell them at Lilit's Cafe in Bethesda, MD, another celiac hotspot. I've been wanting to have a reason to visit B'more to check out their restaurants. Check them out if you can!

See you tomorrow. Safe travels!!

Ok onto the next great PP get together.

Polly and her wonderful husband took me out for Maryland crabs, Polly they were great, what a dinner!

Anyone looking for a good seafood restaurant that has several great GF meals look into Bo Brooks in Baltimore... What an incredible dinner.

Thanks Polly and Scott!

Let's see first there was Gabes and her incredible homemade duck dinner with the best GF DF SF cake and muffins that I have ever had, then it was a great meeting with Nancy and her husband for a wonderful lunch and desert and now this...

This PP ambassadorship is a pretty good deal!

Zizzle I am going to have to go on a diet after this week

Hi Everyone!

Well, Scott and I had a wonderful time eating crabs with Joe tonight at Bo Brooks on the harbor in Canton! The time just flew by. Lots of great food, waterfront scenery, and superb company. It was so much fun for me to hear Joe order like I do - asking for plain steamed broccoli, for sauce on the side, etc. Scott said it sounded normal to him! Tee Hee. Joe took lots of photos on his supercallafragilistic camera, so I'm sure he'll share some soon. Oh, I see he has already shared one above!

Joe did not need much insruction on how to eat Maryland steamed crabs - he is already an expert because of his experience eating Maine lobsters!

What fun we had! I'm so happy that we were one of the stops on Joe's east coast tour!

Love,

Polly

What a great job you're doing, Joe, in your important diplomatic role! A college best friend of mine is from Baltimore - glad to see you got the full-on experience. (Hi, Polly and Scott!)

Look what fun you guys are having! Joe, when a Crohn's guy has to talk about going on a diet - you know you're doing everything right, from diet to friendship to big life changes.

Joe and Company, how fun to read about your new "Ambassadorship" and see all of you having so much fun and eating so well! I'm jealous. If you ever make it out to the wild west, let me know. I think I'm the Utah contact and also cover Arizona.
I agree with Sara, you are the poster child for getting and taking your life back.
Thanks for sharing, JoAnn

Wow! It looks as though y'all apparently lowered the crab population of that area by a significant amount. I hope no one wound up with a tummy ache, due to overeating, (or a wine hangover).

Joe, you're doing a great job - you're making history, now.

Polly, I'm glad to see you had a chance to take a break from your busy schedule, and I hope that most of the extra work will soon be winding down.

Love,
Tex
