Well, the doc's office called me back and I have an appointment at 6:15 p.m. tomorrow. I am now in a FULL BLOWN FLARE!!! All symptoms mentioned earlier are worse and I am barely able to stay out of the bathroom.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Medication interaction

Post by barbaranoela »

Hiya ladies-----

Margie/Shirley

I usually send my prescriptions into Medco----cheaper than the drug store BUT once I had to get the meds. from the drug store and they always run up my chart--thus telling me that this particlular meds.,I was about to take was high on the list of causing HEART issues combined with the other stuff I take----and this was from the dermatologist???? One would thought she would have known this~~~~~~

Anyway, they called her up and it was changed~~~~

Also----Medco is very helpful in letting me know if a combination of this and that is OK--

Do U gals have this done for U with any new meds. being introduce?

Gee whiz----Margie U would think ya doc. knows what your allergies are!!!!

At least it isnt *2 weeks*

Take care-----U too Shirley--

luv Barbara

Hi Mars,

Sorry I'm late to get back from work, today, so I'm late getting around to this.

Your mention of "shakes", caught my attention. It's may be just a coincidence, but the symptoms that you mentioned are symptoms of hypoglycemia. Is there any possibility that you might have hypoglycemia? If so, you might get some relief by eating something to boost your blood sugar.

Love,
Wayne

Yes, this has been questionable in the past - can't get a clear reading I guess. I drank a half glass of orange juice and it helped.

Another thing - I am in a full-blown flare (explosive, acidic D) all day. I now have the bleeding hemmies

But - get this - the swelling is GONE everywhere. My hands and feet are both normal. I wonder if something was going on in my system. Duh! LOL

I have a doctor's appointment at 12:45 tomorrow - they moved it up. I will discuss these things with him then. I am going to ask for a full work-up (Blood, sugar, liver/kidney function), etc.

The only thing I have eaten in the last 2 days is home-made veggie soup. Nothing else. Mmmmmmmmm

Hi Mars,

Shakes can also be a symptom of shock, such as from blood loss, but I am guessing that you haven't had enough blood loss to be a factor. Shock from blood loss relates to low blood pressure, not high blood pressure, so you are probably not experiencing shock.

Orange juice gives some of us D, (it does me, at least), I can't drink it, (not since the onset of MC, anyway). You might have better luck with some other juices. I can't handle any citrus fruit, for example.

That's very interesting that the swelling should suddenly disappear.

Wayne

Aren't the shakes a sign of dehydration too? Make sure you keep drinking enough gatorade or other favorite electrolye based drink. I'm very glad you are seeing your doc today. Make sure you ask lots of questions, and insist on answers to everything...the MC issues, the swelling (even if its gone), the shakiness.

Good Luck,
Katy
