HOW DEEPLY ASHAMED I AM OF MYSELF!!!!!

Post by barbaranoela »

WHY---cus here I am griping of some tattered carpeting---rooms that need painting----sick of OLD furniture---complaining of the crab grass---
tired of looking @ the same curtains and on/on I could add--

After watching the horrendous damage that this hurrican did I just sat here and the tears rolled down my cheeks---
Here are people that have lost their LIVES---lost ALL their belongings--lost LUVED ones and have NOTHING/NOWHERE to begin!!!!
And that gentleman who tried to hold on to his wifes hand but couldnt and she was taken from him---a family torn apart!!!!

The fear now that the levees have sprung *leaks* and more is to come!!!

How awful, for such a horrid thing to happen to make ME realize just how fortunate I am----

But isnt this the issues that makes one *WAKE* up to be thankful~~~~

Bless all that have suffered thru this---give them strength and courage to go on with living---

Luv to all
Barbara----

You are so right! Bless their hearts! They sure have been through an ordeal. I heard that story of that man trying to hold on to his wife. Even the reporter covering the story was crying.

I cannot possibly add anything to what Barbara has said other than I will definitely think twice before I every mention again that I need this or I need that. It really just does not matter in the whole grand plan.

My heart and prayers are with all of them.

Yes, I agree. Ever since the tsunami in southeast Asia I try not to complain about my own life. But how quickly I forget. I am ashamed, too, Miss BN.

Barbara, we are ALL guilty of complaining about things that are more than trivial compared to the really important things in life.

I think all of us are just thankful for what we have when we see so much stripped from others.

Bless them all is my prayer, and may we all keep remembering that we in America are really blessed with so much compared with most of the world.

Hi Barbara,
you are right in what you are saying i saw that man on TV and just cried the devastation that has caused is terrible Mother nature can be very cruel some times and god only nows when them poor people will get there lives back together. all we can do is pray that the aftermath is slight and that rebuilding their lives can start.

God Bless,
Be safe

For some reason I happened to think about my earlier post while I was doing some chores and realized that I should have been clearer in my statement:
"that we in America are really blessed with so much compared with most of the world."

I certainly was NOT thinking of ANY of our neighbors in Canada, our friends in England or Spain. The people I was thinking of would not even likely to have ever been on a computer.

I just felt like I needed to explain that a bit becuase it sounded kinda arrogant after reflecting upon it.

Shirley - I understand you felt the need to explain, the written word doesn't always clearly get across what we want. I, for one, want you to know I took NO offense what-so-ever and understood exactly what you meant. There are rich and poor all over the world, we are not at all different in that aspect.
