We're all different and what works for one doesn't always work for another, but it's worth trying.

For gurgling, I've found camomile tea helped me. It didn't get rid of it altogether but did seem to lower the volume.

I've found nothing to really help with the nausea. When it hits, my favourite position is not lying down, it's sitting on the floor with my head and shoulders on the bed or the sofa. A cool facecloth on my forehead and neck also helps if the nausea isn't bad enough to stop me from getting the cloth and wetting it.

i too drink tea when i get really gasey and crampy. The warmth feels good in my gut. i prefer mint tea or green tea.

My celiac test was negative, but I finally went gluten free because I have read that there is some sort of mc and gluten connection and feel much much better, but it took about 4 weeks because I had odd detox(I guess) symptoms like headaches and low blood sugar, but now after 6 weeks I am feeling better all the time. I take 3 Asacol 2x a day.

Robin,
I have been nauseated, have not had an appetite, and of have lost 25lbs since my episode started 4 months ago. I take nausea medicine (zofran) It doesn't help that much. I force feed myself when the nausea isn't quite as bad and eat small meals or snacks throughout the day or else the nausea gets worse. I do think anxiety contributes to the no appetite. I have also been struggling with the anxiety issue sense the onset of this. I always feel at my worst in the morning. Anyone else feel this way.

I had the same symptoms for about six months then while my dr. was trying to figure out what was wrong with me I went gluten free and salicylate free and was much better. Then three months later I was diagnosed with MC and went on medication. I gained the weight back over the next two years, but still had some loose bms so I went back on a gluten free and salicylate free diet. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, mornings were always the worst part of the day for me, when I was reacting. All the symptoms seemed at their worst then, including the nausea.

Well I'm going in to see the GI Dr. again tomorrow. Hope to pin him down on just what my issue really is.

Entocort is still helping w/D and lower GI stuff, mostly, still some immodium. But upper still is sometimes dicey. I've been GF since 3/28 and also avoiding salads and raw veggies. Seems no problems with fruit or cooked veg. Gave up all carbonated stuff too.

Those changes, although not fun, have seemed to at least tame the upper gi gurgling and noises by quite a bit. I love all things gluten and it has been difficult, but at least it seems dairy is OK.

I'm still not hungry, but the nausea has almost disappeared. So I force myself to eat at least a couple of bites beyond being full to try to keep even based on Tex's advice. But yes, the mornings are usually the worst times.

At least I'm feeling well enough to try to look for work again, but not sure I have the energy for full time....

Hopefully by tomorrow pm I'll have something more definitive to hang my hat on. I'll post when I have more news.

P.S. Wayne, you're sounding quite a bit better. Keep trying -- there has to be the right key out there for you.

Oh, I don't know how I could forget this, but my headaches and migraines have increased greatly in the last month or so.

There are so many variables, I'm at a loss as to what to attribute that to--Entocort, gluten withdrawal, stress, anxiety or what. But it's getting expensive using up all my migraine meds so fast.
