Gabby bananas are my standby food and I have them for breakfast often. As long as the ice cream has no dairy or soy it sounds great! I have not had any ice cream in years.

Gabby your not bossy at all.... I was just there and should have tried some. I do remember the post and it did sound good.

I should try to make that... It can't be that hard especially if it's just frozen pureed bananas. I wonder if they add anything for flavor when they puree them. A good desert has been a rare treat with MC, another option would be great.

Has anyone tried to make this?

Yes, I've made some banana "ice cream". Pretty tasty. I found a Yonana(s) machine on TV. Luckily, I read the reviews before I bought it. I will just keep in using my food processor.

I make the banana "ice cream" by freezing the bananas and then throwing them in the food processor with a little honey or agave nectar. Yum!

Glad you are feeling better, Joe!

Joe,

I loved (and tolerated) Sharon's Coconut Sorbet - I think mostly in the Northeast, so you might be able to find it - ingredients here http://www.sharons-sorbet.com/ under 'Nutrition' (does contain pectin and guar).

I have some frozen mango and papaya (Goya brand - I love a single-ingredient product!), and I have big plans for experimenting this weekend... I'm definitely going to try the bananas, too.

A sweet tooth is one of the few vices that doesn't typically tempt me. But once in a while, what a treat!

Love,
Sara

Joe,

Glad you're feeling better. You've been through the mill!

I've done frozen banana "ice cream" with frozen bananas, a little almond milk, and cocoa powder. I put it all the in blender. It's yummy. You could add more liquid and turn it into a milkshake, too.
