Hi Nancy,

Just a heads up that like everything else, it might take some time to help. I started going to the acupuncturist while in the middle of a nasty flare, and feeling weak and shaky. I went 3 times a week for the first couple of weeks, and tapered to 2 and and then to 1 for about four months continuously. I believe it helped me a lot with calming the intestinal inflammation, as well as with specific foods that I wanted to bring back into my diet. I can now eat eggs, drink coffee, and eat many other foods with confidence.

It's somewhat hard for me to know how much healing is due to acupuncture, and how much is due to not eating my reactive foods from MRT and Enterolab, but I believe and feel instinctively that they have all helped in different ways. I do feel certain that the acupuncture helped speed the healing process and I'm planning on going back to work on desensitizing to some of my reactive foods from MRT that I would like to get back into my diet.

Lots of luck to you in this new endeavor!!! I'll be curious to follow your progress.

Love,
Kari

I thought I'd post an update on my N.A.E.T. treatment. I have been going for several weeks now. The first thing she worked on clearing was eggs. She had said I was highly sensitive. After 3 or 4 treatments I was able to start using eggs again. I began by just using them in my pancakes and waffle mixes. No visible problems. I am now using them in all of my cooking. Twice I have eaten some of my husband's scrambled eggs (cooked in my margarine). I am going slow with this.

We are now working with sugar which is proving to be another tough one. This will be my third treatment this week. I have been able to drink some fruit juices in the morning, I just don't do it every day.

She has cleared me so that more vitamins will be absorbed into my system.

This may be another tool to be looked at for MC or anyone with food intolerances/allergies. If something helps it is sure worth it.

Hi Nancy,

What a wonderful post - thanks for the update. I know how much you missed the eggs!!! Interesting that you are working on the sugars, as so am I. My acupuncturist went on vacation to Hawaii, so I have not seen her for a while. She is back home again, but I'm not sure when I will go for a visit, as I'm feeling quite well these days. I had 3 sessions on sugars before she left, but hesitate to use any until I can get retested. As you can tell, I'm taking this very slooowly:).

I'm so glad the process is helping you - the way I see it is that the more tools we have in our tool chests, the more chance we have for healing  .

Love,
Kari

Nancy
great post and it is wonderful news!

these types of treatments, are not in any way a cure for things like MC, but they do go along way to help the body co-habitate with MC

I havent had my BIA for a couple of months, as I am focussing my funds on the dental issues.

take care and thanks for sharing
