So, in effect, habitually practicing relaxation techniques can change gene expression. Triggered genes can be un-triggered. The extensive studies Dr. Benson and his team have done to prove to the medical establishment that this does indeed work are extremely convincing.
I have experienced the power of my mind on my body a number of times, but every morning I wake up thinking about everything I have to do and not about the importance of relaxing. This is frustrating, because at some level I just don't give myself permission to believe that things can be better.

For those new to the board, I believe we determined that your relapse was due to the colonoscopy preparation liquid that you took. Also, stress plays a big part in your relapses.Polly wrote:I had a relapse immediately after that "clean" biopsy.
