Denise,
I went GF, DF, SF, and egg free, plus no salads or fruit. Once I weaned off of Entocort, the D was back with a vengeance. I'm sure I had more foods that I needed to remove, but my weight kept dropping and I was so weak. I decided to take Imuran and that took several months to kick in. I also went to an accupuncturist for N.A.E.T. treatments. If you search this website or Google it you will get a full explaination. I can now tolerate eggs, salads and fruits. I am still careful about the amounts of each that I eat. I can also tolerate small amounts of dairy, such as milk in mashed potatoes and if I'm out at a restaurant I can put a small amount of butter on a baked potato. I have not had gluten for almost a year.

That's just what happened to me. You may be luckier and not get D back once you are off of Entocort, a lot of people are more successful than I was.

I also went to a nutritionist and it didn't help. The things she thought should be easy for me to tolerate just didn't work.

I take L-glutamine, fish oil, slippery elm, calcium, Vit D, Vit C, and a small amount of a vegan protein powder in a smoothie.

Hi Nancy,

She has me taking the L-glutamine once a day in the powder form. I was on the diet when I went to see her with results so I am not sure if the L- glutamine helps. The fish pills name is Seacure and I leave the pills in the freezer so that the smell is not too over whelming.

Thanks,

Denise
