Marcia----thanks for explaining how you do this....
Jon---you mentioned hair tests---what do you do them for and how accurate (and reliable) are they?
Thanks,
Monique

Well I just came from the store and I guess I wasn't imagining that I had seen dairy in Tums. Some of them have it and some of them don't. It'll say dairy on the front bottom right and then on the back it will say "contains milk". I don't know why some of them have it and some of them don't. Apparently I was eating the ones that do, of course. So keep checking those labels if you are going DF!!
Just FYI.

I had hair testing while in the midst of my initial and worst MC attack, before being diagnosed. My chiropractor ordered the test and I went along with it because I was so desperate to find out what was wrong with me.
I tested either too high or too low in almost every area because my body wasn't able to utilize much of anything. As an example:
Calcium: Normal is 40- 80 Mine was 350
Magnesium: Normal is 6-10 Mine was 14.5
Sodium: Normal is 5-25 Mine was 98.7
Potassium: Normal is 3-16 Mine was 29
Copper: Normal is 1.4-3.2 mine was low at 1.2
And so on. Some areas were normal but others were either too high or too low. I also had some kind of crazy test at the gym when I joined and that didn't turn out well either. The tester was embarrassed and said the test wasn't always right. Obviously it showed that I was not healthy.
According to my chiropractor you have to be very careful when using a laboratory to test hair. In his experience, there are a number of laboratories that aren't accurate.
