Good to hear Camie! You can do it! It's not easy at first but it'll get better.

Just fyi....I just upped my dosage of VD3 to 4,000 units. Last checked it was at 58 but that was back in February. I'm not happy till I get my levels up to around 80.

I had no energy for years due to taking lomotil until entocort came back on the market. Took years to get off entocort. Until I could really eat and not have D... I had no energy.

I really worked at gluten free when I first found this site.. then found other things that bothered me. Trial and error and great leaps off the wagon.

Took me longer than most, probably because I wanted to eat anything I desired.. in moderation.. which is what I do now.

Happiness is a dry phart and a chocolate creme filled dunkin donut...LOL

Almost gluten free is like being a little bit pregnant.

I have been 100% GF for a year now. GF, DF, CF, SF, EF, Poultry free, almond free, and on and on ...too.
Last weekend my DD was in town for 2 days. We ate out. I must have had something that upset me. What? No idea. I asked about everything.
I have been sick all week. Today was the worst.

One little thing and it's back to square one. And I don't know what it was.

You need solid protein, and stay completely GF. Try cutting out dairy, soy and eggs too. See how that works.

I was able to eat chicken and tuna early on.. canned... packed in WATER ONLY. Had to check the ingredients on the cans every time. I would find a brand that was water only.. then over time they would add ingredients.. most problematic was soy.. and I would have to search the shelves for a new brand that was packed in water only.

I don't know anything about those B12 pills.. but most contain fillers of some sort.. check to see if there are any fillers that might not agree with you...
Just a thought..

Frustrated ...........Is it this way forever?

Post by Camie »

I have relapsed after a two plus months course of endocort. The weaning was a bust.

I am back on 9 mg. of Endocort per day. I have added per MD. Immodium to the mix. I have added one Imodium twice a day to the mix. Well yeah I am not yet maxed out on drugs because I can take up to eight Imoduim a day.

I am lactose free .......thats been for years before this.

I am gluten free at least two and a half weeks....(well except for the pizza last week just one piece)

I cook vats of bone broth

I eat well cooked vegtables

I divided my vitamin supplement into two doses because I thought they caused nausea.

I bought sublingual B 12.............thought this caused the nausea .

I keep a detailed food journal.

I bought a juicer...........the juice was to harsh on my stomach.

With all this, I wake up and everyday is a surprise.

So I guess this is forever.

I used to get nauseous every morning and thought it was the supplements; turned out that it was the coffee. Never happened again after I stopped the coffee. Maybe you're having a reaction to something in a similar way.

I'm still on 3 mg of Entocort but an almost ready to go every other day. But I may get on your boat after a time. We'll see. It's frustrating but we gotta keep trying.

Don't give up Camie. The healing process can take a year or two. Just ask Tex. I have to say that the lactose ( sugars) is only part of the dairy equation. Many of us are extremely sensitive ( me included) to the protein part of the dairy, so it's important to cut dairy out completely to make sure you are covering the big four inflammation offenders ( gluten, dairy, soy, and eggs). Just a thought.

I am extremely frustrated today. The big D came back again. Now yesterday was my daughters birthday so it was a special meal. And we were trying out some new recipes for Thanksgiving. I was very careful to keep everything gluten and dairy free. The foods I cooked have been safe. Sweet potatoes white potatoes well cooked vegatables. I skipped the cake and ice cream

I don't know what caused the reaction.

I am of course keeping a food jornal and I keep reading and rereading it. I am looking for any pattern or trend that would point to something. I find nothing. I just want to cry.

Currently
9mg of endocort
Imodium 2mg in am and pm
Dairy free
Gluten free
Egg free

I can take up to eight Imodium a day, so I haven't maxed out on meds yet. Oh yeah on that!

I am worn out.

Thanks for your ears and eyes

I found that most artificial sweeteners and soy had to be removed along with the other things you mentioned.. The only artificial sweetener I was able to use was sweetnlow. All of the other artificial sweeteners gave me almost instant gas and D.

Camie, how about posting some of your food journal? We may see something that hasn't occurred to you. Worth a try.

Hi Camie,
I'm sorry that you're continuing to suffer. I had to cut out sweet potatoes and my MRT results confirmed that they are a high yellow for me. I think others have problems with potatoes as well. Have you considered either Entorlab or MRT testing? I know how frustrating it is to keep eliminating things and the MRT results helped me figure out which direction to go in.
