Well I know what it's like with the anger issues. And I believe it actually contributed some to triggering this nasty disease. I had some emotional issues with my family....my in-laws....over the holidays (happens every year) and it just got worse after the new year. I could feel something coming on but just chalked it up to a nervous stomach. When I got on Beta blockers in March that's when the chronic D started to happen. I had been binging on junk food for a long time and during the holidays I just binged even more. I'm a very emotional eater. All this I believe triggered my disease. Fortunately I can get rid of the offending foods but not the offending in-laws. If I don't get a grip on my anger issues with them, I will always have a flare when I see them. Thank goodness for my Amitriptyline or I'd be going nuts.

I also have a doctor who shows no empathy, is very rude and I'm lucky to get a question in. He shakes his head as if he's disgusted. I'm going back to him next week but only to get my Celiac blood work results then I'm gonna let him have it. After that I will feel better. He's nothing but a jerk!

I'd like to try some Yoga and meditation soon and see how that goes.

Best of luck to you!

Terri

A nurse once gave me this advice: If you are thinking of changing doctors, be very polite to the one you're leaving b/c he may well write on your records that you're a hothead or something similar. This will affect the next doctor you see - if they'll even take you as a patient. We can all relate to your feelings of frustration and maybe even the anger but sometimes in this case it may be better to let the anger out elsewhere, hard though it is.

Actually, I suppose I'm not too angry with him anymore since I now know a lot from this forum....just want to clue him in a little....I will be very tactful. But it doesn't matter as he won't listen to me anyway.

Reminds me of an episode of "Seinfeld" where Elaine goes to the doctor for something and the doctor can't seem to help her and she gets irritated and he ends up writing "Difficult" on her chart. She tries to go to other doctors after that but all of them look at her chart and see "difficult" and refuse her as a patient. A funny episode. Hey we just want answers!

Hi Cathy,

Oh I believe you are sore. I've only done it twice and got sore in the neck of all places. I know what I can and can not do now...lol! I haven't done it in months. I have a great Beginners Yoga dvd and there is some meditation in it along with exercises for digestion, anxiety, headaches...the works. It's very calming.....set near a beach in Antigua. It has 3 dvd's in the set. Can't wait to do more!

Keep it up....I hear it's good for you.

Hi Terri,
Yes my friend Debbie has been telling me about the benefits of yoga.........I'm like you my neck was incredibly sore n my butt cheeks but I'm sticking with it because I want to continue to maintain my weight since losing so much and I am working on getting off more meds that I hope I wont need anymore!!!! My daughter tried to call me the first week I was at my class.........wen I called her back once I got out of class I told her that I was in Yoga class................she replied "can you put my mom on the phone"!!!! I started ROFLMAO and she said "no serious what are you doing, what have you turned in to.......where's my real mom"??? ROFLMAO But I do find it relaxing for the most part and I know its good for me.........so onward I go with bending and twisting!!!!!
