Welcome Courtney!

The best 'NATURAL REMEDY" is diet. Since you have been reading on here, you know that most of us are gluten free. A very large number are also dairy free. Soy is next and then egg. Those are the big four offenders of inflammation. If you want to know for sure, there is a lab called Enterolab that you can send a sample to and the results are very reliable. Check out their web site. it's expensive, but will save a lot of trial and error time.

I also went on Entocort when I was dx Feb 2012. I was at 9 mg. for one month. Went down to 6 mg. for another month. Once i was down to one pill a day , I stayed there for a few months. The I weaned completely off on the 6 month. I believe it worked so well for me and I have been able to stay off of it since is because I drastically limited my diet and eliminated anything I thought could be a problem. It is so important to figure the diet thing out because you could potentially relapse when you stop the drug is you don't. it's very common. The drug tends to hide reactions to foods, so it's hard to tell what you are intolerant to.

Besides the big four, there are foods I call "the irritants".They don't actually cause the inflammation, but they are very hard on our inflamed intestines and can prevent healing.. These foods should be taken out during your healing phase and then slowly added back in one at a time when you have healed and are either almost off the drugs or off completely.
Some of these are RAW fruits and veggies, salad, beans and legumes, citrus and tomato ( acid), spicy foods, maybe coffee and black tea ( some of us are ok with it). I was able to eat tree nuts, but others aren't. Greasy foods aren't good either.Too much sugar also.

I know it sounds like a lot, but try to think of it as temporary. Although I still have issues with too much sugar and fruit, I have been able to add many things back in. For now, you should try to eat mostly meats (protein), COOKED veggies, and rice and it's products. I was also able to eat avocados, olives, Chex cereal with almond milk, apple sauce, almond butter on rice cakes, eggs, and sweet potatoes. Some people are Ok with white potatoes but i didn't add them back in until after 6 months. I use mainly olive and coconut oils. I was also able to eat corn tortillas and some corn chips ( depending on the oil used)

You might want to buy Tex's book ( upper right hand corner of this page). it has lots of great info.
Good luck and keep us posted
