I was an entocort user. If the asacol did not work in 3 months I'd eliminate it and move on and try either pepto or Entocort. Entocort won't "heal" you. It relieves symptoms and allows you to work on your diet to head into remission.

I'm not sure where you are in central Florida? There is always Dr. Glover at Shands/UF in Gainesville. She will tell you to go gluten free and stay gluten free. She tells all of her MC clients to go gluten free and says her microscopic colitis clients respond to GF. I'm beginning to think she may be one of the few GI docs in Florida that get the GF thing for MC. Message me if you decide to go there and I can give you a little more info.

I've used both pepto and Entocort (but not at the same time.) I respond to both. Pepto otc, inexpensive, less side effects. Entocort is a much stronger drug, but it works for most. It can be tough to get off of, i.e I believe there are some users of this board that are on long term low dose maintenance dose. It took CVS or Walgreens about 2 days to get Entocort in for me, i.e. it had to be shipped in from Orlando. I responded to Entocort in about 3 days and in 3 weeks was constipated.

If you are struggling consider going GF, DF and SF. After about 3 months GF DF and SF I was doing pretty well. I found it easiest simply to eat nothing with ingredient lists. There are a number of folks on this board that have achieved remission on diet alone.
