Zizzle, I was inpatient at the hospital when I got it. They gave me IV vancomycin. It is common for people and babies to have c diff. It only becomes a problem when it is activated. In my case I don't know what activated it as I wasn't on antibiotics prior to this. For some, c diff is very active. I am grateful mine has been dormant (knock on wood).
Leah, I just changed ob/gyn offices because of this impossible to treat yeast infection. So, I would have to change yet again. I was seeing a nurse practitioner but will see an actual MD next week. In the meantime I'm going nuts!

That's a real bummer that antihistamines don't help. I don't understand that.
That PA is apparently confusing nystatin with something else, because nystatin is available in virtually any form imaginable, including powder, salve, and cream, in addition to the forms already named.

My pathology report says:
Terminal Ileum Biopsy:
Small bowel mucosa, with no specific pathologic change
No active ileitis seen
Cecum, Ascending, Transverse, Descending, and Sigmoid Colon Biopsies:
Colonic mucosa with no specific pathologic change
No evidence of lymphocytic or collagenous colitis
What I don't understand is that in the doctor's intitial colonoscopy report, he only states he took biopsies from the terminal ileum, but maybe not.
Can these things be wrong?

That appears to be merely a summary of the pathology report — not the actual pathology report, which would contain detailed findings/descriptions.
IOW, that could be the GI doc's summary of the actual pathology report. Who signed that report . . . the pathologist or the doctor?

It appears someone from the hospital signed it, not the doctor. The lab they used is at the hospital. To be honest, I have such little faith in labs and pathologists. I had a rare disease (sphincter of oddi dysfunction) and every possible test came back normal. I live in upstate New York and had to travel to the University of MN to get diagnosed.
