Living dangerously. It's been over 4 years since I stopped eating chicken eggs. I had even tried soy free chicken eggs but I still could not eat them. My reaction to chicken eggs had always been nausea. When I got my Enterolab results over 4 years ago I stopped the eggs along with everything else indicated on the tests. Today I bought some duck eggs. The food coop where I shop has lots of local products and today I bought some duck eggs that came from a local farm. These are pasture raised although I don't know for sure that they are not fed any soy. I will check on that but meantime I have eaten my first duck egg, fried in coconut oil. So far so good but its only been an hour. I am very cautious about my food. I eat a limited diet and have no great desire to add things back, except for eggs. I wanted another source of protein, especially since I can't eat chicken or beef. I now go out without worrying where the nearest bathroom is located or feeling the need to carry extra underwear. I plan to keep things this way but still, duck eggs will be a nice addition to my diet. The one egg I ate was quite lovely to behold with the biggest yolk I think I have ever seen in an egg and the nicest orange color. Hoping for the beet.

I am sad to report that duck eggs will not be added to my diet. Clearly it is possible to be sensitive to both chicken and duck eggs. My reaction to them was mild but I have no desire to see how bad it might get. I ate 2 of the 6 eggs I bought. Now to find someone to give the remaining 4 to.

What a bummer.

Thanks for the update. I reckon I'd better stop recommending them.
