No, but I've been having minor neurologic issues. Recently had an EMG done which showed carpal tunnel syndrome in my left wrist and bilateral ulnar nerve issues in both elbows. Those are definitely unrelated to MC or drug therapy. Most likely due to the height of the counter tops and repetitive arm movements at work. I stopped Entocort over a month ago because it was ineffective. Nowhere near the quality of life now. Before colestipol I was constantly nauseous and had minimal appetite. I lost quite a bit of weight.tex wrote:So far so good. Are you having any arthritis-type symptoms?
I've forgotten, are you taking budesonide?
Thanks for the update.

Bearcat,
What is the price difference between colestipol and cholestryamine powder, my insurance does not cover my prescription because of a high deductible, so I pay out of pocket.
Also, I have been on Sandoz cholestryamine since last July, it is the only medication that gave me normal bowel movement for 6 months. About a month ago I ate out, had a gluten free entree and for the next 3 weeks was in a flare, the cholestryamine did not seem to be effective anymore. However, I continued with it and made some major diet changes and only now seem to be getting things under control.

Right now I'm taking the generic Colestid 1 gram tablets. Costs me 2.50 for a bottle of 60. Cheapest, most effective med I've taken so far.dfpowell wrote:Bearcat,

This is good to hear. I've been taking cholestyramine since about a year after my gallbladder surgery, and it's been the only thing that shocks my system out of a CC flare. I'm allergic to mold--I'm glad I'm taking something that helps that too!
