Linda,

I sure don't envy your weather. I'm almost embarrassed to say what our morning low was down here — it was 44 this morning. Looks like that polar vortex isn't going to have any significant effect on our weather. I'm sure it will be way too hot this summer, but the winters down here are halfway decent.

I agree with Tex
an endoscopy will show that you have inflammation - (which you already know) unless it can provide information on WHY or what is causing it then I would not have it, as things like anesthetic etc are likely to increase inflammation

as we discussed a couple of weeks ago, it is possible that you have been getting low amounts of gluten from some of the GF products you have been having.
It will be a couple of months before your body clears this. I wouldnt consider any procedures for at least 3 months until you see if the inflammation settles down from stopping the risky items (does this make sense)

Gabes....I don’t want to rush into anything either...I think he was at a loss as to explain my inflammation considering my diet.

Could I be celiac? Would it matter if I was?
I don’t think I have a hernia because I don’t have any symptoms.
I don’t know what else the test would discover.

I have emailed most of the of brands of spices etc that I use.
I cut out rice flour, so I’m totally grain free and processed food free now.

As I was feeding my dog tonight I decided to check the food label....it’s wheat free...but the third ingredient is pearled barley!

This is a process!

Tex...my husband wants to move to Texas....we may meet face to face yet! 🤗

I doubt that it would matter if you were a celiac. Many of us seem to be much more sensitive to gluten than the average celiac.

Looks like dogs have the same label problems as humans — they have to read labels carefully or they may get zapped anyway.

Texas would be an interesting move for someone used to Pennsylvania. Fortunately we still have plenty of room, but it seems to be filling up fast (mostly from the South  ).

On vacation in Peru, I developed food poisoning. A double/triple whammy. What's next? Ate some raisins from a vendor outside a store in a little plastic bag. I think that was the culprit. I became violently ill. Vomiting and diarrhea - both. Peru has excellent health care with doctors who are smart and truly care. I think they have better health care in Peru than we have in America. My surgeon for Dystonia who severed (7) seven nerves in my neck is from Lima, Peru. Educated in the medical school in Lima. He is the guru of Dystonia and is brilliant. People love Dr. Arce with a sweet and loving personality. Without the surgery I'd still be suffering. Back to food poisoning - the Peruvian doctor came into my hotel room, performed an assessment and put me on Cipro. I was running a high temperature. No problems noted with Cipro.
