You are very welcome!

Gabes: The book also mentions that allergic irritative skin reactions to chamomile blossoms have been described. The suspected allergen sesquiterpene lactone anthecotulide is generally not found in chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). It has been found in traces in the bisabolol b-type drug imported from Argentina, but apparently it is insufficient to result in sensitization. The coumarin herniarin is being discussed as another possible allergen in chamomile blossoms. If applied externally, the recommendation is to avoid the area around the eyes to protect them from irritants or particles.
For steam inhalations they recommend to pour hot water over 1-2 tablespoons of chamomile blossoms. For inflammations of the oral or pharyngeal mucosa they recommend rinsing or gargling several times a day. For inflammations of the upper airways they recommend breathing the steam of the freshly prepared tea.
One more thing: they mention that they found evidence of detoxification of bacterial toxins and an effect on the skin metabolism.

I hope I got everything important....there are 4 pages about Matricaria chamomile and another 3 pages about a different kind of chamomile that has not been studied as extensively and is not used as often. A disclaimer: the book was printed in 1989, things might have been updated. But chamomile is very popular in Switzerland and there are many products in the pharmacy there that are based on chamomile. It is a very mild tea, I never really cared for it that much as a child. But I will start drinking it to see what effect it has on me.

Jari: I ordered some organic chamomile herbal tea from STASH today. I will examine it to look if it is mainly blossoms as in the picture or not!

I got the chamomile flowers, my plan was to pour the hot water over the blossoms and then mix this with coconut oil to massage into my scalp.
