The other observation we have seen over the years here, is that any of the medications people use for MC can have limited scope of success for the patient, if the patient is deficient in Vit D3 and magnesium (and continue with the inflammatory trigger foods like gluten, dairy etc)

healing takes time. if you break a bone it can take 8 weeks of rest for the body to heal that injury.
in relation to our gut, it takes longer. as Brandy mentions above, you started to see some benefits of eating plan changes.

Dear O:

You are not alone! It really is hard to get our minds wrapped around this because it can be extremely complex, and there's very little medical support for us in the way of doctors and accurate testing/medications. In a way, we are pioneers! From what others have said and my own experience, many of us have had some of the conditions surrounding mc (if not mc itself) for a very long time before persistent symptoms finally drove us to be tested and get the diagnosis of mc.

So, while it can seem like mc descended into our lives very suddenly, the reality is more likely that in many cases, it was already affecting us in many ways for a long period of time. This makes it a bit easier (for me, anyway) to finally let it sink in that figuring out what works for our mc and related conditions is going to take time, courage to try new things, patience to allow healing, and a lot of support, which most of us find here. Hang in there! :grouphug:
