Hi Tex,
I see this is an older poll, but thought I'd chime in, anyway:
I have been taking allergy shots for the better part of 35 years for all the things I lived with, and played around, as a child: Cats, dogs, various trees, dust mites, grasses....and every time I stop them I end up getting back on again.
Then, 35 years later I find out I have lichen sclerosis and 2 years after that, the Big MC.... after being healthy as a workhorse all my life. I guess we all get something eventually, but, it does seem like all that aggravation those shots give your system has to have some cumulative effect after a while, doesn't it??
(I have an 88 y.o. wonderful friend that lives out in the woods all alone and she's never had anything like this. She's super tough, independent, and in better shape mentally and physically than I am, now! She's also relatively recently gone, gluten-free!!) :)
All My Best,
Edna
