Magnesium usually helps, but since I've had MC, I don't sleep but about 4–6 hours (about 5 hours average) per night.

I couldn’t function very long on 4-5 hrs sleep every nite, otherwise I’d have a hard crash by weeks end.
Thank you and get some sleep!
I developed tinnitus shortly after I was diagnosed with LC

tcmarv62, I am 38, I’ve never had tinnitus, but 4 months after an LC diagnosis, I developed it. I went to an ENT, even had a nasal endoscopy, but no cause was found. It has since abated some (I have had it for over a year now), but an MC diagnosis may have caused mine and exacerbated yours.
Regarding Enterolab, I shipped a sample last Monday, and got results in a week. The results were actually a little disheartening—it showed I was intolerant to pretty much everything. I’m still digesting (haha) this information. My malabsorption score was also insanely high (well over 1000), so I’m getting another test to rule out EPI.
But, at least now I know. Well worth the money.

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed last year but am only just getting to grips with really trying to heal...My doc here (
I live in Saint Lucia, Caribbean) has not been helpful...suggested prednisone, but it's not available here and the hospital (who are authorized to import) wouldn't do it due to covid-pressure on resources. ..hoping they might now...
I have a few questions - can I send in Entero Labs samples from here?
Which one of Wayne Persky's books should I order and is there any chance of a kindle only version (as shipping actual books adds a lot to the cost)
Thanks for advice/help

Hi,
Welcome to the board. Prednisone is a powerful drug with serious side effects and very difficult withdrawal if you stay on it very long. Budesonide is a much safer medication, and just as effective, if you want to take a drug. But the only way to completely control the disease is to change our diet to completely avoid the foods that cause the inflammation which causes the disease.
You should be able to send a sample to EnteroLab from there, unless all shipping out of the country has been halted due to COVIC-19. UPS or DHL overnight services are usually used to ship the samples. You can phone or email EnteroLab and they should be able to tell you if a sample can be shipped.
All my books are available in both print and digital versions. Here's a link (below) to the one that should be read first. This is an Amazon link, but the books are available at most booksellers.

Here's a Barnes&Noble link:

Thanks so much! I must've been tired.. I meant budesoniide!
I'll see if I can order the ebook from Barnes & noble - last time I checked (over a year ago) I couldn't order from B&N from Saint Lucia (rights issues usually)...on the Amazon link it says "This title is not currently availabl for purchasee" - I don't know if that's another issue because of where I live?

Strange. It's available in the U.S. So that might just be a Barnes&Noble issue, while they're reorganizing.
Most ebook resellers get the book from
Smashwords. Here's the
Smashwords link. And you can download any format you need for your device.

Please let me know if you have any problems.

Hi - another newbie here. Thank you so much for your site - I was having so much trouble finding information until I found this site. I live in Australia, Victoria, rural area and am really interested in getting the tests done from Enterolab. Do you know if anyone in Australia has been able to get the samples back to them in time? I will contact DHL Express to see if it's possible, but wondered if anyone on here is from Australia and has had success getting samples back to Enterolab in time. I wish we had a lab like that in Australia. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi,
Welcome to the group. We have quite a few members from Australia, but I'm not aware of any of them ordering tests from Enterolab. I see no reason why it couldn't be done, because we've had members from as far away as SE Asia successfully order the tests. With DHL service, it should work fine.
Years ago, a member in Hong Kong sent a sample and it got hung in Customs in Alaska for several days. But when they finally got around to sending it on to the lab, the tests worked just fine. Actually, I don't believe it matters if it takes longer to get the sample to the lab, as far as the integrity of the tests is concerned. I believe the overnight requirement is just a "feel good" gesture so that the sample doesn't thaw enroute and develop an odor. The delivery companies probably require EnteroLab to send the samples overnight for their convenience, rather than a requirement of the lab.
Again, welcome aboard, and please feel free to ask anything.

hi there
aussie gal here, based in Hunter Valley NSW
i never did the enterlab testing for two reasons - at time i didnt have money and the timing for sample integrity
there was an aussie based lab doing similar (but not the same) testing but it was very expensive
I used elimination diet and have used kinesiology via functional chiropractor to sort out my eating plan
takes time - but given the eating plan has been my foundation for past 11 years, 6 months of work was worth it!!
hope this helps
