HI Lauren,
There are different types of VitD3 drops....you'll have to check the ingredients to make sure they don't have Gluten, Dairy, Soy or Egg...this particular one I've shared here is free of all those things and at a price of $34 for 365 drops it is .09 cents a drop so depending on how you absorb the VitD based on how the Magnesium is supported by your system will depend on how 365 drops of this brand helps towards your healing.
I had to up my VitD3 to 10,000 IU a day for about 7-8 months and that was after a year of healing, I had been taking 5,000 IU a day during that year and my levels didn't move but a tiny amount....so with that said get your D levels checked and adjust your VitD intake from there. I was at 45 and now I am at 83 and quite content with that number so I have backed my VitD3 intake back down to 4000-5000 a day during these summer months.

On the take of bone broth, I give it a resounding YES! I have been doing Cornish Hen bone broth (I have added gluten free noodles and carrots and celery to make a delicious noodle soup)....yes it is light and may not have tons of aminos in it but I didn't react to it, and I didn't have to test it...I think you could do the same with Lamb bones maybe even Beef....Chicken can be iffy due to not knowing how you react to eggs.
I also lost some weight, but I became very strict with my diet and stuck with it and before I knew it I was absorbing nutrients...have faith in yourself This process takes time....no quick fixes here....you are going to do great!

Sorry, I forgot to address that question. Yes, Tylenol is safe for MC. It's just not very effective for headaches, unfortunately. I had to take it as soon as a headache or migraine began, and I had to take it with a meal or snack or it wouldn't be effective. If I waited until a headache had already developed, it was too late to help. You can also take Tramadol or opioid type painkillers without triggering an MC flare. NSAIDS designed for topical use are usually safe, (if used topically) but they seem to be only marginally effective. I'm not sure if any such products are still available.

Thanks so much Erica! Ah that's a bummer to hear Tex, for me right now I just have a climbing fever 100-102 just so bad. How high and for how long durations would you get these fevers? I just am curious now if they missed something because I am confused why we MCers would get fevers? An interesting part I left out of the story since it was so long is that the night I had this start, my boyfriend and I ate the same meal and both were in a lot of pain. However he was fine the next day and I was not and this is where it all began. It was like the strangest thing started with a diaherral pain but once arriving to the toliet pure constipation.

you wont get scurvy!!
you will be surprised there are good amounts of Vit C in lots of vegetables, like cauliflower, sweet potato etc
I havent eaten any fruit in over 7 years (despite having multiple AI issues in chronic states for long durations of time) and do not have scurvy
long story short, while your gut is inflammed your ability to absorb any nutrients is reduced. that is why we strongly encourage members to do the low inflammation, bland eating plan that stops the chronic inflammation and promotes healing.
Then you will have optimised absorption of nutrients from food.

Lauren,
I have a hunch that my fever was mostly caused by diverticulitis. That's not likely in your case. It does sound as though you have something else going on. Maybe you picked up a virus. Unfortunately MC doesn't make us immune to common problems that every one else has to deal with.
It's common for MC to start that way — we're fine one day and the next we've got a world-class illness.

Gabes - That makes total sense, I am definitely on the path to that diet been being as careful as possible.
Even when the veggies are cooked for long right!?
Tex - Yeah I went to the Hospital got a bunch of tests ran, and found out I have c-diff for the 5th time. I am basically going to have to get another fecal transplant...
I am at a loss. I do not understand how this came back again.

Bummer. Having an IBD increases the risk. You haven't by any chance used any opioid pain killers lately, have you? They also increase the risk by slowing motility.

Gosh, I dunno. This is a little out of my field of expertise. Post a question on the Main Message Board to see what others are doing. They may not be reading this particular forum. Here's a link in case you're not sure which one I'm referring to:

Haha ok thanks Tex, I just submitted a post. When you would get the periods of diarrhea and fevers, I know this is very specific but it seems we who have the disease know better than anyone. Did you have the diarrhea for a long time or short amount of time? Was it like upwards of 15+ with mucus and how many days would the fevers span til? Because now today I have not develop a fever yet and only went to the bathroom a few times (granted I have not been eating much at all).
