You're lucky to find that doctor (but I'm sure you realize that).

Yup, Tex....I sure do. From what I've read, many Gastroenterologists are not as enlightened about this disease.tex wrote:You're lucky to find that doctor (but I'm sure you realize that).

We also had a discussion about Enterolab/Dr. Kenneth Fine. He had heard of them but didn't know much about them. So today, I sent this doctor a copy of my lab reports and interpretations from my Enterolab testing. He wanted me to send them as he is going to research their methodology. He told me that he is familiar with Dr. Fine through the "Pepto Bismol" clinical trial for Microscopic Colitis that Dr. Fine conducted back in the late 90s I believe. In fact, I did try the Pepto treatment under this doctor's care, but it didn't work for me. So that Pepto Bismol trial made him more interested in learning about Dr. Fine's lab!
To me, the most impressive thing about the lab is that (unlike all other labs) one guy does all the testing, so that results are always consistent, and he has a PhD in chemistry.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
