Hi Kathy
Don't want any confusion here....
Only use Mag Oxide if you need help with "constipation"....it will not help you from episodes of Diarrhea in fact it will contribute to episodes of Diarrhea ;-)
Maintain your Drs Best and Mag spray routine!

Thanks Erica. I actually am having trouble with constipation. That's where I have been for like 11 days now. Only go every other or every 3rd day and its never much. Its solid which is good but just isn't much. So I feel like I really need cleaned out but definitely don't want to go bac to WD.

Hi Kathy,
Without going over board with fiber because we know it tends to be rough on our intestines if you choose something like over cooked broccoli, yellow/red potatoes, sweet potato, zucchini, Romaine lettuce (leave the skin on a few veggies as that is where the fiber is) at least this is a natural approach with most likely safe foods that may help with the loosening of the stool, plus you get to eat something and keep the hunger pangs down.
Too much magnesium in the for of a laxative to me is neither good or bad, but I'd rather fill my tummy up

Skp, everyone's input and responses are beneficial.
Everyone's MC healing journey is different so having variety of inputs, approaches helps.
Additionally there is the wellbeing factor, especially for new members, that someone is listening, and cares enough to reply.
KAthy- To expand on erica's reply....
in this early stage of your healing journey I would focus on magnesium (gradual increase of dose) increase water intake, increase healthy fat intake with animal fat and/or coconut oil etc for constipation issues.
Focussing on good intake of protein each meal and snack, not too much of rice etc that can bulk the stool
Also relaxing, massage the tummy, Epsom salt foot soaks, breathing exercises, yoga,
Also look at vagus nerve exercises, this will also help body with. Otoliths.

Vegetables have more nutritional benefit compared to rice. So potato, sweet potato etc are a better option long term.
In early stages of healing go with what ever settles best, easiest to prepare etc
And as has been mentioned, animal protein is the focus for each meal/snack.

Hi Susan.
Please don't ever feel as though your input is not important. In my opinion, your input is worth more to a newbie than the responses of an old-timer like me because it more accurately reflects the general philosophy that we're trying to convey here. I'm just a source of information — you're proof that this concept works, and most importantly, you understand what it takes to make it work. That's the most important thing to new members, and it's always on their minds.

I want to apologize for not being more active on the board lately. I am listed as a moderator but have not participated much lately. I eat a very restrictive diet still, 10 years or so in, although a lot less restrictive than it used to be. I plan to stick with it for the rest of my life. I have worked a lot on my mind and my attitude. I do not feel bored or deprived. I am just happy to have found a way to eat that keeps me reasonably healthy, able to leave the house, not focused on the location of the nearest bathroom. My perspective often deviates some from the perspective of others here and so I feel my input is not particularly in sync with the input of others, but that might just be my own projection and not really the case or perhaps it doesn't matter. I will try to start participating more often. I know how important this board was to me when I first came here. I owe Tex and the other members a lot. I intended to continue giving back but have not been doing much of that for a while. I will try harder.

Don't you just love Cotons! We have had 3. Lost one early on at the age of 3 with Pancreatitis. Broke our hearts. But we have two now named Pistol and Pappy. They make us a family again with our two boys and their families not living very close to us. They are my babies. Spoiled rotten of course.

Jean,
No need to apologize for anything. I can't speak for anyone else, but I find your input to be not only very valuable and interesting, but always accurate, down-to-earth, and well-researched. So what if it's not always in sync with everyone — whose input is? We're a very diverse group, with common interests.
It's always good to see you, whenever you have the time to check in.
