Celia,

For some reason or other, I couldn't find Sacro-B listed under Thorne Research at that site, nor could I locate an ingredient list for the product you use, (maybe I'm using the wrong browser), but you can buy it online here:

Here is a competetor's site that does show an ingredient list, and their's is free of casein and most all other allergens, so I would presume that there may be numerous sources available without allergens:

I'm puzzled as to why you believe that Lactobacillus GG, (Culturelle), is the same thing as saccharomyces boulardii? They appear to be two distinct species. Lactobacillus GG is a subspecies of Lactobacillus casei, which occurs naturally in the digestive tract. Here's a link to an interesting article in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, that mentions the use of saccharomyces boulardii to treat several types of diarrhea:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Oops! Caught me again! Just a confusion on my part. I know that both are recommended for D., and thought they were the same but obviously completely different!

You are sharp! Thank goodness! Celia

Well I tried calling the Flora-Q manufacturers and all the numbers I have found are disconnected! I guess I might have to order a bottle just to get the phone number!

Thanks for that link there Tex. Entrin Acidophilus looks promising and moderately priced but I want to find out first what the heck is in that Flora-Q!
