Hi Joanna,
I started taking it about 6 months ago and stared with 10mg. My naturopath started me on such a low dose because I usually have a bad reaction to drugs and I looked like death when I first met her and I think she was afraid she might kill me. Last month I increased it to 15. I just had a blood draw for my thyroid and I asked to have the DHEA measured as well.

I didn't know anything about the adrenals before I went into surgery...but after reading about it I had 90% of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue going into my surgery. When you have your ovaries removed, your healthy adrenals usually step in and help balance the endocrine system....mine just went crazy. Before I felt like a 90 year old with MC...now I feel like a 60 year old with MC. I am also on thyroid medication which helped a lot as well.

I especially notice a difference in the morning...used to feel like I was trying to wake up from a coma...very difficult to get going ( before surgery). Now I wake up feeling more alert. Unfortunately, I've substituted MC for the coma.

Love,
Cristi

Good luck Grannyh,

I hope they figure this thing out for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
